Story begins (Why not Balayam ?)





Balayam is introduced to the world by Swami Ramdev and he is a fantastic Yog Guru and i am following him from for over 2 years now.

Balayam is rubbing of finger nails of both hands with each other and the friction produced by it helps in hair growth, as the roots of finger nails are directly connected with hair follicles. This technique is well known in Acupressure. I did Balayam for over 6 months continuously but there are some major disadvantages of doing it. 

Balayam increases production of sebum in your hairs and the friction from Balayam releases more oil in your scalp. More the production of sebum the more Hair fall you will have. As this sebum blocks the hair follicles and prevent hair growth. 

Many Bald man head is always oily because they lost their hairs because of extra oil production by their body. Following are major contributors of more sebum production:

  • Balayam 
  • Sitting for long hours in Air conditioning (Because AC will absorb all the moisture from Air leaving your hairs dry and to combat the dryness your body will increase oil/sebum production in your hairs and result is clogged hair follicles and hair tends to fall out)
  • Using Harsh chemical shampoos on your scalp. It will irritate your scalp and your body will produce more sebum to combat it.
Above are major three factors contributing towards your Hair Fall. You must be thinking if not Balayam then what? Try real acupressure points on your head to increase hair growth.

  • First Point : 8 Fingers from your mid point of both Left Eyebrow and Right Eyebrow.
  • Second Point: 12 Fingers from your mid point of both Left Eyebrow and Right Eyebrow.
  • Third Point: 4 Fingers from your neck where the hair follicles ends.

Now, what to do if not AC or how to avoid AC or minimize its impact:

  • If you are sitting in AC for long hours as you work in an office, drink water regularly every 30 minutes. You can take 2-3 sip of water every 30 min. Do not drink 1 glass and you will have to use bathroom frequently then and it is of no use.
  • Do not sit or sleep with your head facing towards AC or AC above your head. Avoid it.
  • Go outside every 2-3 hours for 10 minutes form AC environment.
  • Put 1 full glass of water near you. Let the AC absorb moisture from Air and Water and not from your body.

And now comes the Shampoo. What to do? Simply use Baby Shampoos as these have very less chemicals in comparison to other shampoos. 

Interesting Facts about Hairs: Massage your hairs with oil just before 40-50 minutes before you take bath. Keeping oil on top of your head is of no benefit to your scalp. While Massaging your scalp, it has already absorb the oil and keeping oil on your head is not going to make any difference. The only benefit you will get is hair conditioning and for which 40-50 minutes is more than enough. If you oil your hairs at bed time, you tend to break your hairs while sleeping which aggravates your hair fall condition.
